My first build in a little while (and I think my 5th overall?) The BYOC Leeds Fuzz (modeled after the Univox Superfuzz) is a great sounding pedal. I'm giving it to a friend of mine as a gift and I'll be sorry to part with it. Some of the wiring isn't as tidy as I would have liked and I should probably trim the transistors a little bit, but I'm really happy with the end result and my soldering is improving steadily. I used Krylon spray paint and spray on polyurethane. I used the toaster oven method to bake the finish. It came out a little uneven with some checking on the bottom that I couldn't sand out. But, I like the color overall.

Once you're happy with the transistors, you might want to solder one of the legs for each of them, so that they don't fall out by accident.
That's a good call. I've also heard of people using hot glue, but it seems like soldering a leg would be a better way to go - durable but easily reversible. Thanks!
