Title: King of (K)lones question.
Post by: MattL on July 27, 2011, 06:38:00 PM
Having scoured this section, I couldn't find anything on this topic, so I'm sorry if I missed it, but I haven't seen anything on the King of (K)lones even with a search. Anyway, I was just wondering two things:

1. If I do the external presence with a 50k pot, is there a preferable taper?

2. what is the extra ground pad for, that seems fairly deliberately pointed out for?

Thanks!

Use a linear taper.

There are two grounds for convenience. One is next to the 9v pad so you can run both wires directly to your DC jack. The other is at the bottom of the board to wire ground to the switch.

FWIW I used a 50kB and it works great.

Thanks guys, the pedal is fantastic! I've made four other takes on Bluesbreaker pedals, and this is probably the best.

I'm gonna follow you guys and bring the presence trimmer to the outside. Seems well worth it.
