Title: I'm stumped, Animato build seriously lacking volume
Post by: AJPennypacker on April 14, 2016, 07:32:12 PM
Hi all, I've built an Animato from layout here;

http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.ca/2015/11/human-gear-animato.html
(schematic below)

Functions as you'd expect except for a real lack of volume. With Vol and Dist cranked I get levels just below unity. I've replaced the electrolytics and the transistors but it hasn't improved. I believe this pedal should have tones of volume so any help would be really appreciated.

Any thoughts on what I should check?

I see lots of 100 OHM and 100K OHM values in there. Have you checked ALL of your resistor values to see if possibly something got mixed up?

Just triple checked the 100 vs 100k, will give them all another look.

Thx for the help

I would audioprobe the circuit from input to output and see where it gets quieter. :)

Great suggestion, feel a bit silly but found a bridge and now it's blowing the roof off.

Thanks again for the help, really appreciate it.
