Title: circuit info needed for a amp to two cab switching circuit
Post by: adam_bz on February 14, 2016, 05:47:00 PM
hi,

Looking for any info on a cab switching system that I can build into a pedal.

The issue I can forsee is the minute time that no load is with the amp so I imagine that there must be something internally to over come that?

Thanks in advance

You'll need a make-before-break switch or relay. That's not what we typically encounter in pedal building with the usual suppliers. You may have to look at Mouser, Digikey, Newark, Farnell, etc.

basically it shouldn't be hard to do. Input-switch-2x output. you'll need a SPDT switch (input on the middle lug, outputs on the outer lugs). as you said, there'll likely be a pop when switching. you might try a pulldown resistor (1M from signal to GND)
