Title: Video Maker Software?
Post by: pryde on February 09, 2016, 03:11:55 AM
Just curious what any of you folks in the know recommend for a video making/editing program? Of course I have Windows Movie Maker but curious if there are any (free) better options with more features, better UI, etc.? Looking to make a quality demo video so sound files, pics, text, maybe some video footage, effects and so on.

What say ye?

The best free video editor I have personal experience with is iMovie. But that doesn't help you on Window. :/

There's definitely a learning curve to that, though. Fortunately they have a lot of great tutorials.

DaVinci Resolve is fantastic for advanced editing, with great tools for color correction and audio. HitFilm Express is another good choice, especially if you want to add effects. For something simpler but still capable, Shotcut is user-friendly and covers the basics well.

If you're working with audio files for your demo and need to convert them to different formats, this tool could be handy: https://www.movavi.com/audio-converter/aif-converter.html (https://www.movavi.com/audio-converter/aif-converter.html). Good luck with your video—sounds like it'll be a fun project!

Probably because Obama was still in office when they posted it.
