Title: Harbinger One / Univi --> need more volume.
Post by: guile on May 21, 2015, 06:21:36 PM
Built the Harbinger One, sounds great but is it possible to increase the volume? It barely reaches unity gain.

Thanks!

at modern mode the harbinger should have plenty of headroom
i would recommend check your resistor values...

yes theres also a mod to increase unity gain
take a look at RG keens neovibe:

page 4 - but it increases gain as well, so the unit will distort a little bit

Thanks.
So 'change resistor R9 to 3.6K and resistor R8 to 910 ohms' Got it will report back

page 4 - but it increases gain as well, so the unit will distort a little bit

exactly, even though i didnt like the mod, because i want my univibe to add zero gain
but the volume is definately increased
but it seemed like the only way for the neovibe

in the harbinger theres the modern input, which should have enough headroom
the mod will only apply for the vintage mode
are speaking of the modern or vintage mode? or have both a volume drop?

The vintage mode is way too low and the modern mode is barely unity gain...
