Here's a video of some expensive handmade japanese headphones. True craft, but too expensive for me :D
Anyway, does anyone know how's called the technique used at 3:25 to finish the headphones? I would like to give it a try if it isn't too expensive...
It is similar to golden leaf, but they use shavings instead of foils.
Assume it's something similar to gold leaf....
Great looking product... don't think much of the dust masks they use while spraying lacquers.
Like John said looks to be some sort of gilding, used again to apply the Fostex logo.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking, but had some doubts as they didn't use foils.
I was searching by "gold foils" or "metal foils" but this is the first time I heard the term "gilding" (english isn't my mother thongue).
This could have some applications for pedal finishing.
