Title: Tayda pcb mount 1/4" jacks
Post by: waynewalt on February 12, 2015, 05:03:32 AM
Is the tayda TE-CK-6.35-29B pcb mount jack a direct fit where a nuetrik nmj6hcd would go? Couldn't find a data sheet for the tayda and I forgot to add them to my order.
Anyone have experience with them? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

They work with the Madbean PCB part for whatever the heck model neutrik jack that is. Used them in my GatSynFace board. YMMV.

I haven't used those ones specifically (I do have a couple, I just haven't used them) but Tayda's other jacks are very cheap and flimsy. These ones seem like it as well, compared to the Neutriks they are clones of.

Jacks are one thing I don't recommend ever skimping on, and Tayda and Mammoth's "house brands" are garbage. Don't stray too far from Neutrik or Switchcraft unless it's for test builds... you'll regret it :)

Thanks for all of your advice. Should have know the tayda stuff was cheap. The leads on the resistors are very flimsy.

Thanks again!
