Title: Double Flush 1uF caps polarity?
Post by: Myramyd on June 04, 2011, 03:05:40 AM
Hello,

I'm in the middle of building my Double Flush and noticed I only have polarized electrolytic 1uF caps for C2 and C3.

Which way should I put them in?

I'd say negative towards R6 for C2 and negative towards R7 for C3.

If someone feels I'm wrong please correct me :) hehe

Isn't it the other way around? I am thinking of an NPN fuzz-face circuit where you put the negative side of the 2.2uF input cap toward the incoming signal.

Update: NVM the rule is that the positive end goes toward the higher voltage.

Thanks, I'll see what happens...

To use polarized caps there, the negative side of C2 goes towards the lug1 of the BAL pot, and the negative side of C3 goes towards pin2 of the pot.

Positive side always goes towards highest voltage.
