Title: Cherrybomb transistor orientation questions.
Post by: derekcaster on May 31, 2011, 09:36:27 PM
Just wanted to make sure I read things correctly, but on a TO18 transistor the emitter is marked by a tab, correct? And for Q1 the emitter leg is the one closest to C2 and R2 on the cherrybomb pcb board/layout?
I have a 2n2222a I want to put in Q1 and Q2 and a BC109 for Q3 and want to make sure they go in the right direction.
Thanks for any help, Derek.

Correct, the emitter is marked with a tab on both of those.

Q1 has the emitter tied to R2, R5 and C2
Q2 has the emitter tied to R3, R4 and C3
Q3 has the emitter tied to R14 and C10

Both of those have the standard E-B-C pin-out so you shouldn't have to bend any leads with Bean's layout :)

Good luck!
