Hello.
Some time ago I built a super luxe Zero point delay.
Sounds great, but I have a problem.
When I have the pedal off, plays in the background and rhythmically one (tick, tick)
which is caused by the RATE, the modulation part.
When I put the maximum Rate disappears, but at lower speeds can be heard.
How I can remove that noise?
Thank You
1) What power supply are you using?
2) What chip did you use for the LFO (IC5)? You could try a chip with lower current draw there, like a 4558 or 1458 if you have it, and it might make the problem go away.
Is any of your wiring close to the modulation IC?
Josh
Thanks for your advice !!
The IC I installed is recommended in the instructions, the TL062.
I'll try with 4558.
I'll also look if there are wires that pass near the LFO.
Thanks, and I'll tell you how it has gone.
oh, make sure you're using a bypass scheme that grounds the input in bypass as well.
Hello again.
I've done the above tests, and still the same.
I have also checked the input is connected to ground when the pedal is off, and correct.
I forgot.
The power supply is Marshall 9 vdc 400mA.
We continue with the problem. :-\
Hello.
Problem solved.
I put an electrolytic capacitor 10MF, pin 3 to ground RATE potentiometer.
