Just when I was content with my current projects :-[
Awesome!
The build.share.learn reminds me of another popular jingle play.laugh.grow ;)
Just placed my order for a LaVache, Cosmopolitan and a Boneyard!
Oh and a MBP sticker of course ;) haha
Thanks dude!

Woohoo, thanks heaps bro and looking forward to those other projects from the teaser photo shot... ;D

Well I guess if another one is going to be released I shall wait until next week to order....... or maybe multiple orders haha. I can't wait!!!
I'm proud of being another Lavache Purchaser ::)
;D
I've been waiting for the screwdriver, looks like I'll wait more to see what's the new project about ! ::)
damnit, now i'm teased to check the forum every 10 mins til i found out what's coming up :(
why do you do this to us Brian why ?!!?
::)
As if i need more pcbs waiting in line to be built.. but i ordered anyway yay!
La Vache, Cosmo, Neutrino, Fatpants and Glitterati! And a couple stickers!
Gosh i cant help myself..
What an exciting day!
This teaser may postpone my cosmo order which is ok considering I have a boneyard to build. What effect category does the surprise fall under?

It has a lamp, but it's not a Univibe. That's all I'm sayin! I'm shooting to have it done by Sunday,
Hmm...Optical Compressor?! ;D

its gotta be a phaser? crossed fingers
I'm thinkin' tremolo :)
Envelope filter ???
magnatone vibey sort of thing ?
oh what! awesomeeee
I was going to bust it out if Bean didn't after tonight... I'm soooo stoked for this vibe.
Course, if the Reverb and Delay boards that have been hinted at were also debuting soon, I might just fly to the moon on that elephant I saw that could fly...

Hellz yes, I cannot wait to build a vibe. This and the d-bag delay I have been waiting anxiously for.
Oohh yes!! Vibetones are coming!!

this is all ive ever wanted
I posted this in the wrong thread, and meant it as a follow to go in this one!
--------------------------------------------
Here's a few more details: it's based on the Escobedo Wobbletron and has a bunch of mods. First, instead of using a transistor to create the vibrato, it uses a complete implementation of the Univibe LFO. This drives a small 18v lamp. The advantage of this over a transistor or LED based approach is the smoothness of the ramp up and down of the actual lamp. It's more natural and less choppy than an LED, I went with a tiny lamp to make this thing fit into a 1590B with ease.
Next, it has an added JFET input buffer and a simple bi-polar output gain stage. Lastly, it has a switch so that you can change between vibrato and pure tremolo.
I'm looking into getting a supply of the specific lamp I'm recommending. It will actually require a Road Rage board, too (or a charge pump, at least).
Looks awesome Bean! Any idea when the BOM will be up. I'm doing some ordering....
I have all the components for the LaVache, except the 3.3M resistors. Could I use 2.2M resistors for these instead, or will that mess up the biasing?
You could put the 2m2 and another resistor in series, twist them together like a tipi to get as close as possible. I will let one of the smarter chaps comment on the biasing though.
2M2 + 1M1 = 3M3 or if you have a 1M you can get close at 3M2
I suppose I can do that in the short term, then put a 3.3M the next time I place a component order.
Cosmo's are gone.. Crap! i waited too late.
I'll have a few more soon. I'll etch a new panel in a couple of days.
