Title: Mudbunny input section R2/C1
Post by: garfo on November 29, 2014, 04:12:51 PM
I have a doubt regarding the input section of the mudbunny. I've realized that it always has a resistor followed by a capacitor. Happens that I've found two Colorsound vesions the Supa tonebender and the Bass Fuzz (GGG versions) that first have the input capacitor and only then the resistor. Does this have any kind of impact on the sound or the way the pedal responds?

Do you have a link to the schematics you're referring to? Without knowing which resistors or caps I think I have an idea of what you're talking about.

I'm learning too so please feel free to correct me, but I believe the resistor from input to ground (Mudbunny's R1)is the pull down resistor and used to prevent "popping" when turning the pedal on. The capacitor C1 is used to tailor the incoming frequencies.

I find that this is always helpful to look back over http://www.kitrae.net/music/big_muff_guts.html#Circuit (http://www.kitrae.net/music/big_muff_guts.html#Circuit)
Hope this helps.
