Title: TS808 input buffer bypass?
Post by: selfdestroyer on August 03, 2014, 03:05:42 AM
I am trying to do the buffer bypass switch like the one on the Earthquaker Palisades. I am using Madbean's open source TubeScreamer. What I am thinking, which I am sure is wrong, would be to add a switch before C1 to before C2. This way I still have the pull down resistor in there... am I on the right track?

Here is the schematic I am talking about.

Thanks for the help guys

The Madbean T-Bagger is a tube screamer variant without an input buffer. That might help.

I had worked on that couple months ago switching between the Eternity type input and  standard buffered, just did'nt post the final state of it in my «Spam thread» @BYOC, there's a hand drawn schem at page 10.

If you go through the read, all the info is there and it works, i've verified it.

Thanks guys, I will start maping it out a little more. It looks like i was on the right track by Rej's schematic.

I have piles of «analog» schematics.... i know i have it with all the fix somewhere....

Will make a search and post it or simply re-draw it.

This should do you well, power pads assigned accordingly to the schem you are refering too.
