Title: weird thing with zombii
Post by: jtn191 on April 19, 2011, 01:13:24 PM
Whenever I turn up the volume pot when the effect is bypassed I get an increased noise floor. Pedal is working fine otherwise. This doesn't make any sense to me  ???

check that the pot is grounded properly and that it's not shorting or something.

also check the offboard wiring, you may have made an error there.

Is the pedal boxed or in a "testing rig" ?

That sounds strange. Yea it's probably a grounding issue.

I dont think it's grounding, it may be shielding that's the problem. The circuit will naturally amplify noise as you turn it up, if there's noise in the signal. We need more information about how you've got it setup, pics could help.
