Title: New Axe Day
Post by: brejna on June 16, 2014, 01:37:01 PM
Hello good fellas madbeaners, yesterday I got mine first 7-string guitar. It is hand made by local guy here in Bosnia. Body is alder with flame maple top, one-piece flame maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Guitar equipped with locking tuners and les paul style bridge. I have decide to put DiMarzio Crunch Lab and Liquie Fire and didn't regret it, plus I add DiMarzio EP1112 multipole 5 way switch which can give you endless options of wiring. In the pos1 I have bridge only, pos2 inside coils in series, pos3 both pickups, pos4 outside coils in series and pos5 neck pickup. Here are few pics.

I would love to try a 7 string for a while... You've just inspired me to find one I like and try it for a while.

Cool, glad that I've helped you in some way :D
What type of 7-string you are interested in?

Thanks, still trying string gauges on it.. I think it will end with 10's plus 0,066 on the 7th string and I am really happy with it so far. You can play any style of music on it. :)
