Title: NPD: Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret
Post by: Blues Healer on June 04, 2014, 11:54:40 PM
Although I have a Grapevine board, I couldn't resist ordering a Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret. After all, I think Brian gave a nod to buying the pedal, even after they posted the schematic online, etc ....

The clips made me seriously interested, despite the fact that I have a bunch of great overdrives.

Anyone with an original DLS is encouraged to chime in.

I love that guy's demos.  Pretty clear that he loves what he does and he's good at it.  Somehow always makes me feel like I might get there too.

i traced the mk3. it's pretty cool, but better at 18v. mk1 is different, slightly more gain, and a lot of technical differences. i found it dark, the presence trimmer works well in the last 5%, and the super bass mod is way too bass heavy. but the mids are nice.
btw, i sold mine and then i got a plexidrive. sold the plexidrive, built one severely modded, now i'm fine on the jfet overdrives side.

Nice! I really want the Topanga but it's pretty expensive
