Post by: trustybs on June 02, 2014, 07:33:40 PM
Hello,
i was planning to build  two pepper spray and i messed with my stock of transistors and now i only have one 2N3565 and i can't order oversea just one transistor so is there a good and easy to find equivalent for this transistor? ... or am i doomed  :-\

Thanks

2N5088, 2N3904, etc.

However, in some circumstances, the 2N3565 seems to produce a slight octave effect, and this has only been observed in older (and lower gain) pieces. In other words, I wouldn't worry about it and would just use any transistor with hfe ~200-300.
