Title: Uproar: making the presence switch a knob?
Post by: ben_allison on March 26, 2011, 03:32:08 PM
Any added benefit? I tend to prefer continuously variable controls when I have the option.

I'm assuming it'd just be a simple matter wiring in a pot as a variable resistor?

Not sure what value to go with though... idears?

No, unfortunately, because the switch uses a cap not a resistor. It could be done, but if would require modding the circuit to a certain degree, so it's not as simple as adding in a pot.

You could do it like a blend knob, to blend between two different caps. Perhaps looking at the recent topic on the input cap for the Rangemaster would be of benefit for you.

Thanks!

So it won't work to simply follow this approach, but just leave one cap out?
