Title: my pedal clicks through the amp
Post by: MJL90 on March 21, 2011, 11:30:04 PM
When I turn on my Modtone delay and Vox wah the click of the switch can be heard through the amp, it's annoying as hell, anyway to fix this? Or is it because I'm using a solid state amp

you might want to look into electronic switching, something like Jack Deville's click-less bypass

alternately, I heard you could solder a 4M7 resistor from input to ground to get rid of it

It's not as bad now that I moved the pedal to the last pedal

Thats strange. Are you using a power supply?

i have a hardwire tuner that does the same thing. it is true bypass and i am thinking about trying to rewire it myself. if you resolve your problem please post the solution. thanks.

Yeah it's true bypass, using a power supply but it also does it running off the 9v

I have the same problem with my tuner if I have a boost pedal or some overdrive pedals on when I press the switch. As long as they are off it's silent.

I opened it up to have a look, but being a reasonably cheap pedal, the board is impossible to take out =( I don't think it does it on a valve amp
