Title: Sea Urchin Dead connections?
Post by: papasaurus84 on February 24, 2014, 09:00:20 PM
Dear all,

Recently, i built a sea urchin delay and yes, i have an issue. I have no sound on that. :( . It's very very strange for me because some signal passed in some path, but doesn't in another. i check the voltage an it's quite normal like this:

TL072CN:
1: 4.22
2: 4.22
3: 4.22
4: 0
5: 4.22
6: 4.22
7: 4.22
8: 8.33

78L05
in   : 9.23
gnd : 0
out : 5.02

PT 2399
1: 5.02
2: 2.54
3: 0 (jumpered with pin 4)
4: 0
5: 2.54
6: 2.54
7: 0.41
8: 0.66
9 to 16: 2.54

I attached a picture of my probing work also. I really don't know what happened since i only follow the instructions from this forum, and have no electronics background. :(.

check means there's a sound. before R6, the signal with a delay comes out perfectly, but gone after it. :(

thanks and regards.

Is your output grounded? Is the bypass signal fine? I'd check the switch and jacks to see if something isn't right. Are the controls working?

gonna check this tonite. the jacks. you right... i make this pedal always on, so i connect it directly from input to board, without a switch, fyi. :)
