Title: isd2590p instead of isd1020ap?
Post by: danwelsh on February 01, 2014, 08:06:10 AM
hi, anybody know if you can use a 2590 in place of the 1020 called for in the loophole....there's only minor differences in the pinouts according to the datasheets. The top is the 2590 and bottom is 1020

Sure can - I've used the ISD2560 and the ISD2590 in the GGG mobius trip (which also uses the ISD1020).

for the ISD2560/90/etc just connect pins 7 and 8 to ground.

why do pins 7 and 8 have to go to ground? it worked without them connected but then I remembered and connected them to ground...?

are those pins just for noise cancelling?
