Title: toshiba tc4049bp ic in place of a 4049ube?

Hi, anyone know if a guy could use tc4049bp ic's in place of a 4049ube?

Looking at the data sheets for them, I'd guess that the answer depends on what you are going to use them for. As logic devices, they look to be equivalent, but the schematic diagrams show pretty different implementation details. So, if you were using them to make some distortion, they might sound very different.

If it's for a distortion, they MUST be the unbuffered version.
