Title: More Muff help
Post by: wretched on December 11, 2013, 04:21:25 PM
Sorry I keep having questions. But I am going to build a Green Russian and creamy Dreamer off the Muff Spreadsheet.

My question is about c15 and R24 being omitted on the excel. I understand the R24 is a safety type feature and not really needed. But the C15 is labeled as power filter. I just want to be sure I am not going to burn the house down.

When in doubt, cross-reference with the values one Madbean's Mudbunny (the nomenclature is the same): http://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/Mudbunny/docs/Mudbunny.pdf

C15 is 100n, but you can just omit it, as the note (14) indicates.

R23 is not optional (it goes from Q4 to ground), but R24 is (you have to jumper it, not omit it).

Thanks I was just unsure about that C14/15.

Yeah, if they're not there on the sheet, they weren't on the schematic. Doesn't mean that you can't put it on there if you want.

I know the answer is to socket and hear for yourself, but does omitting C15 make much difference?

I am waiting for my Tayda and Mammoth orders from Black Friday so I am stuck looking at blank or half finished boards. (but still ordering more almost daily lol)
