Title: Upstairs Downstairs
Post by: pickdropper on September 17, 2013, 01:15:39 PM
This is a rehouse of the second build I ever did: a BYOC Octave Divider.  I've been sitting on this enclosure for a while and finally decided to move it over.  I wish I hadn't waited so long as it turned out to be a quick job.

One of my first builds too. (I think it was my third.) I love that thing! A seriously badass effect.

Yeah, it confused me, too.  :-)

Thanks the kind words, everybody.

Very nice enclosure, and the guts are super clean as usual.

What washer did you use for the toggle switches? It may seem very secondary, but they look very clean, without the teeth you usually see. Do they come standard with your switches, or do you use special ones?

Those are washers I buy separately from PPP.  They have thick and thin versions.  These are the thick versions.  I'm quite find of them and use them on most of my builds.

MC Escher, right? Good taste! I hope I'm remembering this correctly. This is a really classy etch.

I got hooked on those metal washers too after trying the Alpha 3PDTs from PPP. I ordered one of them separately to use with the SPDT on my Standard Fuzz, just so they would match. No going back now!

I would be curious to hear how the sound of this compares to the Lowrider. Octave effects have emerged as one of my favorites.

Yep, it's Escher.

I also dig Octave down effects.  Now useful all the time, but great for certain sounds.
