Title: Ego driver led question.
Post by: playpunk on September 14, 2013, 09:00:53 PM
I have been trying to troubleshoot an ego driver that doesn't work. When I test the resistance with a dmm one of the led's works and the other doesn't.

Additionally, the audio probe on the test rig stops carrying signal at the ic, but I have reflows the solder on the socket (with the ic out, of course) and swapped the tl072 for a tl082 and nothing changes.

I have no pictures, sorry. Any ideas?

Which revision of the board? On which pin of the IC does the audio disappear? What are the voltage readings at each pin?

Hey! It is the most recent edition... And I got it working. I finally figured out how to use my multimeter and started checking voltages, and figured out I wired my power jack incorrectly, and hadn't grounded my tester ground to the jack. I fixed the wiring, and tested the circuit, and it worked!

Victory!

Great news! That's exactly what it sounded like was going on. Ask me how I knew  ::)
