Title: Radio shack now has SMD LEDs

Yay. A step in the right direction.   I picked up a few to play with and they aren't super bright, but I'm sure they'd do fine as clipping diodes.

What CLR were you using?  Some of those SMT LEDs don't take need all that mich in the way of resistance to know down the brightness.

I would try them with 470 and see if they work for you then.

Still not very bright. I don't think the brightness rating is very high on the package    mcd?   I think it said 20 mcd. Compared to the 2000 mcd ultra brights.
