Title: Finding parts for the Yellow Shark
Post by: Background Noise on February 11, 2011, 05:40:13 AM
Hello.  For my fist of what promises to be a host of newbie questions.

I purchased the pcb for a Yellow Shark.

My first problem is finding all of the resistors.

I cant seem to locate 51R or 31k6 resistors.

I bought some of the parts through PPP, but need to place an order to Small bear soon.

Thanks for the assistance.

I also could not find 31k6 resistors and bought 33k instead, will they work?.

No problem. Ask all the questions you need to.

"R" is just another way for noting "Ohm." So when you order from SmallBear order "51 Ohm" resistor and you'll be set there. 31k6 (or 31.6k) isn't common and i don't think that smallbear has that value. You should be able to, someone please correct me if I'm wrong (i haven't built a yellow shark), sub a 30k or 33k in there. Or, if you really want to get the exact value, search "273-31.6K-RC" on mouser.com and you can get them.

Thanks.

I figured the 51R was something simple.

I will stride boldly forward using 33k.
